When you met your wife, were you nursing plans to get married at that point in your life?

I must say with all honesty, marriage didn’t cross my mind but as we progressed in the relationship, I knew I was certainly going to marry her.

How did you meet your wife?

We first met back at school at the Delta State University, Abraka but we were what I considered as ‘hi-hi’ friends. She left DELSU for the Lagos State University and we met several years later when I went for an event in her church in Lagos in 2012. That was when we kicked off as friends before the dating process started.

How long did the courtship process last?

Our courtship lasted for about two years from 2012 to 2014. We got married on January 17, 2015.

Can you recall the first day you met her parents?

I think I met her mum first and that was in 2012; I am not sure of the exact date.

Did they have any reservations about you being a comedian?

Yes, her father was sceptical for a while but he later changed his mind towards me.

Did your spouse or in-laws hold any reservation towards your disability?

    Surprisingly, they did not.

    How did you propose?

She came visiting one day while I was in the sitting room. I had placed the ring on my bed in the room with a note telling her how much she made my life complete and asked her to marry me. I told her to help me get something from the room hoping that she would see it but somehow, she did not notice the ring and the note; so I had to change my plan and do it the normal way.

Did you always dream of a lavish wedding?

Having a lavish wedding is the dream of every woman; but for men, I don’t think so.

Was your wedding like what you had always dreamt of?

It was more than what I had ever dreamt of.

You have anchored so many weddings, how was it watching someone anchor yours?

It was fun watching other people take charge for a change.

Did any funny event happen on your wedding day?

My fellow comedians made it funny all through with their crazy pranks and jokes. It was indeed a memorable day for my wife and me.

What were some of the advice you were given on your wedding day?

I was advised to make my marriage work no matter what the case may be and I think that advice has been helpful so far.

Were you able to consummate the marriage on your wedding night?

    How was the honeymoon?

Funnily, I still owe my wife our honeymoon. We couldn’t have one because I had to go back to my job on the radio as an On-Air Personality but certainly, I will make it up to her this year.
