is Nigeria turning to Shaku Shaku Republic???

SHAKU SHAKU REPUBLIC BY AZEEZ AJIBOLA OLAGESIN

One of the several habits Nigerians are notorious for, is our social lifestyles, Nigerians so love to party that any occurrence in our lives calls for celebration, either Owambe or in the club we'll find a way to celebrate our promotions, new house, new child and even death of our elderly ones.
And one of the most important part of our parties is dancing, over the cause of time, several dance steps has dominated parties from the contemporary ones makossa, garalla, yahooze, alanta to the most recent azonto, skelewu, shoki and the current trendy Shaku Shaku
Over here in the ghetto, shaku shaku is an adjective used in qualifying nouns, and when a boy is tagged "shaku shaku boy" it means the boy is one of the worst kind of boy within the vicinity, probably maybe he's a chain smoker, a drunkard, an agbero or someone that terrorizes the locality. This got me worrying concerning the recent events in our country, is Nigeria not turning already to a "Shaku Shaku Republic?"

As we all know, here in Nigeria, abnormality is the order of the day, from the presidency celebrating 800km walk of the President, to the recent sacking of the DSS DG over the blockade of the National Assembly Complex by men of the DSS, to the forgery allegation against the (Dis)honorable minister for finance to the transmission saga of the IGP, the lazy Nigerian youth gaffe by the President and the latest of them was the comment credited to US President Donald Trump on our able(lifeless) President, while we are busy dancing shaku shaku, watching EPL matches and  organizing night vigils with hope for divine intervention in the leadership of our dear country, thus ignoring the logical course of action (registering for PVC and voting during elections)
Are we not turning to a Shaku Shaku Republic???
